St. Patrick's Day Weekend
/Fun! I can sum up this past weekend with just that one word.

Friday started off with a little treadmill 5k before my monthly weigh-in with Weight Watchers for March and...
... I was in the free range again! Woo! As a Weight Watchers Lifetime member, you have a 2 lb range on either side of your goal weight to still be Lifetime. So my goal weight is 155, which means I need to weigh-in each month between 153-157 to continue to be a FREE Lifetimer. :) And I like free. Who doesn't?
I led my final two Weight Watchers meetings of the week and then it was WEEKEND TIME!!
I got home from my meetings and was feeling fit so I put together a little side-by-side:
The pic on the left is from 2008 and the pic on the right is now.
Sometimes, I get so wrapped up in the now that I forget how far I've truly come. Ya know?
After ditching the "work clothes," it was time to get casual and meet my best friend and her daughter for a coffee date. It's funny how quickly a mood can change after an hour or so with one adorable little baby!!
I often wonder if moving back to Boston was the right choice and after an afternoon with my best friend or family ... I know I did.
I had to hit up the liquor store after Kappy's to pick up Slumbrew's latest beer:
Naked Hopularity!
It was delish (as all their beers are) and I totally recommend it...
While I waited to grab pizza with my parents and wife, I got some wonderful gifts:
-in the mail
My Omron Fitness HRM thanks to Mamavation
-from my Mom
The 4-Leaf Clover Alex and Ani Bracelet

Saturday kicked off with a 14-mile training run for the Boston Marathon. I wanted to sleep in a little so I didn't meet the group in town instead opting to run closer to my house. What I didn't realize was how far I could really get in just 7 miles. :P But, I did it - 7 miles out and 7 miles back - including some time in Davis Square, Somerville, Medford, Cambridge, Arlington and the Minuteman Trail.
It was nice to have new scenery while running, but I could've done without the head wind. :P
After refueling with low-fat chocolate milk and Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee, it was time for date afternoon with the wife. Yay!
We headed back to Davis Square to enjoy a beer and some lunch at Joshua Tree.
Yummy as usual.
We hit up the local comic book store for the wife and picked up some adult beverages for that night's Game Night before heading out for some much-needed mani-pedis.
My poor feet and as usual I apologized to the woman ahead of time for my "runner's feet." :P Thankfully I've known this woman since high school so I know she has seen it all.
Happy Feet!!
There was just enough time to pop by the grocery store and clean the apartment before picking up our Game Night guests.
The wife made Hungry Girl's Orange Chicken and my friend Abby brought a delicious Fruit Salad for dessert before we broke out the Cards Against Humanity ... which I had never played before.
Wicked fun and inappropriate game that I HIGHLY recommend.
It was great hanging out with my coworker Abby and her boyfriend Justin since we had been trying to set this Game Night up for months, but blizzards, illness and more snow kept getting in our way. Damn you Mother Nature! But now we will surely be making this a monthly event.

Sunday was my favorite holiday of the year ... EVACUATION DAY!
Okay, that is only a Boston holiday that happens to fall on the same day as St. Patrick's Day.
Laney was not in the St. Patrick's Day mood. :P
So I broke out the green gear for Spinning class:
Yes, stickers were involved as well. :)
I didn't have a St. Paddy's Day race so I had to break the socks out somewhere.
After Spinning, the wife & I did meal planning for the week and hit up the grocery store. Wild and crazy kids on the holiday, I know.
We grabbed some lunch, I did some Weight Watchers work then it was time for a few of my college friends to come over for the evening. I can't believe I've known these girls for about 12 years. Wow!
You know you are all 30 or over when there are dogs and one 2-year old running around. We aren't the party animals we used to be...
It was a fantastic afternoon/evening of great food (fruit salad, regular salad, crock pot chicken and no pudge brownies) and of course a Guinness or two...

A weekend of fun, love and friends was exactly what I needed. I can't wait to see what next weekend will bring ... oh yeah, a 21-mile run on Saturday! ;)
