#GivingTuesday: How You Can Help Me #FightStroke

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been named Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday encourages people to donate to charities of their choosing.

I am offering a personal suggestion for your Giving Tuesday donation. :)

I am running the 2017 Boston Marathon (my fourth) with Tedy’s Team and am charged to raise $5400 in honor of my Stroke Heroes.

Since I enjoy giving options... let me share three ways in which you can help me #FightStroke!

1) Heart Healthy Holiday 5k

A virtual run-walk means you do the 5k (3.1 mile) “race” at your leisure between December 12-31!! You can also bike this 5k if that is more comfortable for you. You can complete the 5k over multiple days if that is easier to fit into your schedule.

Map out your route, get your friends together or jump on the old trusty treadmill/bike. Your call.

EVERYONE that completes the “race” will receive a Finisher’s Medal in the mail from me. YAY! How cool is that? I know one of my favorite parts.

Now you may be asking: “Dani How much will this fun cost me?” or “What is my entry fee going to?”

Well, each participant will be making a $25 donation, where all proceeds go to Tedy's Team to #FightStroke.

Please Note: I will be running a 5k with the Slumbrew Happy Soles on Sunday December 18 at the American Fresh Beer Tent (11am) if you want to complete your virtual 5k with me in person! :)

2) Tedy's Team Paint Nite at MUSE (Somerville, MA)

Muse combines a painting instruction studio with a beer & wine bar. It is located at Assembly Row in Somerville, MA (MBTA accessible and free parking!)

Join me January 19 at 7:30pm to paint, chat and help #FightStroke! $45 registration fee and 40% goes to my 2017 Boston Marathon fundraiser with Tedy's Team!!

3) Donation

If neither of the above events interest you, please feel free to make a monetary donation directly on my fundraising team.

Thank you for your consideration!!

If you cannot donate today, thank you for taking the time to read this. I will leave you with the most important message I can: the warning signs of Stroke aka FAST.
